Virtual Assistant Pricing
Two rates, billed by the hour, with no recruitment fee, no payroll tax and no minimum contract. General support is $5 per hour. Technical and marketing work — ads, CRM builds, email campaigns, websites, automation, reporting — is $8 per hour. You pick the number of hours, and you can change that number month to month.
Estimate based on a 4-week month. Billing is by the hour actually worked.
What it costs
What you actually pay per month
These are the three most common arrangements. Hours are worked in your time zone, on your tools, by the same assistant every week.
Part time
20 hours a week
General support at $5/hr. Social scheduling, CRM updates, lead follow-up and day-to-day marketing tasks.
Full time
40 hours a week
A dedicated assistant on your business all week. Most clients start here once the first month proves out.
Technical
40 hours a week
Technical rate at $8/hr. Google Ads, social media management, email campaigns, CRM and automation build-outs, websites, reporting.
Monthly figures assume a 4-week month. Billing is by the hour actually worked, so a lighter week costs less.
The comparison that matters
A virtual assistant against the alternatives
The honest question is not whether $5 an hour is cheap. It is what the same 40 hours of work costs you through each route, once everything around the hourly rate is counted.
| Go Socialate VA | US employee | Freelance marketplace | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hourly rate | $5 – $8 | $20 – $28 | $15 – $45 |
| Payroll tax & benefits | None | Roughly 20–30% on top | None |
| Recruitment cost | None | Job ads, screening, your time | Your time on every hire |
| Equipment & software | Covered by us | You provide | Varies |
| Cover when they are away | We cover it | You cover it | Nobody covers it |
| Same person each week | Yes | Yes | Often not |
| Time to start | 3–5 business days | 4–8 weeks | Days, but with churn |
| Notice to stop | One month | Severance, admin | Immediate |
US employee figures are typical loaded costs for an in-house hire, not a quote. The point of the table is the columns you forget to budget for, not the headline rate.
What the rate includes
Both rates cover the same things
A dedicated assistant
The same person every week, not a rotating pool. They learn your clients, your tone and your systems, and that is where the real saving comes from.
Your hours, your tools
They work your business hours and inside your own accounts — your social channels, your CRM, your email platform. No new software to buy.
A manager on the account
Every assistant reports to an account manager who checks quality and covers leave. You are not the one chasing work.
Onboarding, at no charge
Process documentation, tool access and a first-week checklist are part of the engagement, not an add-on.
